I thought this was a pretty good and simple explanation as to what a firewall is….the only reason I’m commenting was because I found the use of the refugee images by the gate unnecessary and uncalled for. Looks like there wasn’t much thought involved when making nor editing the video. Just wanted to let you know,as a consumer of your product, that is something that would make me think twice before purchasing from you again.

But you do have one, probably several. That is the whole point, as to what is allowed through the gate (firewall) and what is not depends on what your gate has been told to let through. I think he could have slowed down the explanation a little better, but you have a firewall built into your computer, one in your e-mail, one from Webroot. He could have been much more explanatory and taken it a little slower. Unfortunately, that is what happens when a techie type tries to explain something to the rest of us. If we knew we wouldn’t have asked in the first place.

“What is a firewall, and how does it work?”

The video said what it DID, but not really anything about how it works. Much too basic to be of any interest to anyone except the real beginner.
